"The process through which plant absorb nutrients and minerals from soil through roots is called Plant Nutrition."
Types of Plant Nutrition:
Plant Nutrition is divided into the following two types:
1)Macronutrients
2)Micronutrients
°1)Macronutrients:
Definition:
"The type of nutrients which are required in greater amount are called Macronutrients."
*)Daily requirement:
They are required 100mg per day.
*)Further Division:
It is further divided into two types:
•a)Primary Macro-nutrients.
•b)Secondary Macro-nutrients.
#)Primary Macronutrients:
Definition:
"The type of Macronutrients which are required in large amount for the body"
•)Utilization:
They are taken up by the plant in large amount and utilize it for the development of plant body.
•)Elements:
Nitrogen (N) , Phosphorous(P) and Potassium (K)
#2).Secondary Macronutrients:
Definition:
"The type of nutrients which are required in less amount for plant body is called Secondary Macronutrients "
•)Location:
These nutrients are found more in soil because plants take them in less amounts for usage.
•)Elements:
They include calcium (Ca) , magnesium (mg) and Sulphur (S).
°2)Micro Nutrients:
•)Definition:
"Those nutrients which are required in small amount to a body are called Micro-nutrients."
•)Minor Elements:
They are also called Minor elements.
•)Daily Requirement:
They are required 20 mg per day.
•)Elements:
They include Boron(B) , Copper(Cu) , Iron(Fe) and Chlorine(Cl)
